Everyone is welcome to this deeply restful morning! We’ll warm it up with an all-levels practice meant to help us get grounded and centered. There will be time for deep hamstring work and hip openers, along with some specific practices to balance and sooth the nervous system. Then we’ll indulge in the profoundly healing and restful practice of yoga nidra. After class, if you have time, you are welcome to walk in the labyrinth or stroll through the beautiful Winter woods.
The morning will be a perfect way to prepare for the longest night of the year and for the season of Winter that invites us to pause, to rest and to restore.
I’d never done yoga before taking Olynda’s class, but her approach makes it easy for someone like me to pick up the motions and reasoning behind each of the positions. Her encouragement and down to earth nature made the classes both fun and relaxing, regardless of whether I could do all the poses correctly the first time.
